The Six-Fingered Man

No, this doesn't have anything to do with The Princess Bride. But if there's any evidence of God's justice, it might be proved in Bollywood mega-star Hrithik Roshan, who has not one, but two thumbs on one hand. His Adonis good looks come with 11 digits. I love it!

Hrithik Roshan is the son of actor, director, producer, writer, and composer Rakesh Roshan, making Hrithik one of Bollywood's countless stars with connections in the industry. It's no surprise, then, that Hrithik's first film, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, was directed by his father. The film catapulted Hrithik into stardom. In fact, he walked into a screening of the film as an unknown, anonymous face, and by the time the film had finished, he needed a security escort out of the theater. That's how quickly stardom happened for Hrithik Roshan.
It was once thought he would dethrone Shah Rukh Khan from the top of Bollywood, but Hrithik's career, though successful, hasn't managed to be as consistent as King Khan. Nonetheless, Hrithik's films are usually pleasureable experiences, if only to watch him dance. He's probably the best male dancer in Bollywood, often upstaging any other dancer in the room. But Hrithik is more than just a good dancer. He attempts many different kinds of roles, not allowing him to be type cast as one kind of actor. He's played a mentally handicapped young man, and angry terrorist, a national army hero, a mild-mannered, peace-making younger brother, and obsessive lover. He's currently filming Dhoom 2, where he stars alongside Aishwarya Rai. They might be the best looking bad guys on the planet.
Though Mr. Roshan is unbelievably good looking and an exceptional dancer, many of his performances leave me cold. He lacks SRK or Saif Ali Khan's charm. He also likes to show off his bulging arms in every film he stars in, making him slightly less annoying than Salman Khan. I like him best when he's paired with Preity Zinta, but he's also good with Kareena Kapoor. Nonetheless, Hrithik Roshan remains one of Bollywood's main stays, so it's worth getting to know him.
My favorite Hrithik films:
Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (2000)--with Amisha Patel
Mission Kashmir (2000)--with Preity Zinta and Sanjay Dutt
Kabhi Khushie Khabhie Gham (2001)--with Kareena Kapoor, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, SRK, and Kajol
Mujhse Dosti Karoge! (2002)--with Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor
Koi...Mil Gaya (2003)--with Preity Zinta
Lakshya (2004)--with Preity Zinta
Next up: Kareena Kapoor

"My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." Hey Ang, in a slightly ironic twist of fate, I just finished watching season 2 of Dead Like Me featuring the famous Mandy Patinkin aka Montoya aka the slayer of the 6 fingered man. Funny show too bad it was cancelled after the 2nd season. How's life?
